This Privacy Policy outlines how Claimy collects, uses, and protects user data, while striving to align with global privacy standards.
1. Information Collection
Claimy collects personal information as necessary to provide its services. Users on the free tier do not need to provide personal data unless they create an account. During account creation, Claimy may collect first name, last name, email address, and a securely encrypted password. For users registering through third-party authentication providers such as Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn, Claimy collects basic profile information, including name, email address, and profile picture, as provided by these services. Additionally, optional information such as mobile phone numbers and job positions may be collected during account setup or profile updates. This data is securely stored but is not currently utilized.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
The data collected by Claimy is used to create and manage user accounts, facilitate secure logins, and provide claim management services. It is also used to send notifications, alerts, and updates via third-party email platforms. Optional data, such as mobile phone numbers and job positions, may support future features, and any changes to how this data is used will be communicated to users.
3. Email Communication
Claimy uses third-party email platforms to send account-related notifications, including critical system alerts and reminders. Users can unsubscribe from non-essential communications while continuing to receive essential updates. Mobile phone numbers, though collected, are not currently used for communication purposes.
4. Analytics
Claimy uses analytical tools to collect anonymized and aggregated data about user interactions with the platform. This data helps monitor and improve platform functionality and user experience. Personal information such as mobile phone numbers and job positions is not included in these analytical processes.
5. Third-Party Services
Claimy integrates with trusted third-party services to enhance platform functionality. Authentication providers like Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn enable secure logins. Third-party email platforms are used for communication, and analytical tools help track platform performance. Claimy ensures these services meet industry standards for security and advises users to review their privacy policies, as Claimy is not responsible for their practices.
6. Data Protection
Claimy employs advanced security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Regular audits and updates are conducted to maintain data security. While Claimy strives for the highest level of security, no system can be entirely foolproof.
7. Data Retention
Claimy retains personal data only as long as necessary to provide services or meet legal obligations. Data that is no longer required is securely deleted or anonymized to prevent unauthorized use.
